"I LOVED your course, and can't wait for more joy nurturing wisdom from you! Your methods really ease the day. What changed the most for me is that I don't fall into the overwhelmed mom mode as often given the tools that I've learned. That's a most welcome change!"
โ Rhonda S.
"Judith transmits peace while sharing essential techniques with us. I had read some of those tips spread around there in books, websites, etc. But Judith condenses them in a realistic, straightforward way and designs their execution, explicitly thinking of women living the busiest phases of their lives. I have not seen a course so tailor-made and hands-on for our needs and anxieties, and that propels us to move forward with joy like this one. I took away that instead of focusing on goals, I want to focus on the emotion I want to feel during the week."
โ Vanessa B.
"My biggest takeaways were that itโs really important to make my inner joy a priority each day and, when under pressure or overwhelmed, think about what's important to me and prioritize my activities around that."
โ Sarah R.
The course has been created with busy moms and their time restrictions in mind. The eight modules are delivered in bite-sized bits, each consisting of several smaller lessons (5-15 minutes). You can watch one small lesson each day or the whole module at once if you prefer. I would count about 30-60 minutes to watch the weekly videos. The most important thing is that you implement some of the tools so that you can feel the positive difference they make right away!
In this self-study version of the course, all modules are available immediately upon purchase. While I recommend going through them chronologically, you are free to start with any module that particularly draws your attention.
If you have any questions, you can reach out to me via email at any time, and if you feel stuck, we can also arrange a short Zoom call together.
Find out for yourself how magical it is to embark on your personal joy journey. It will make daily life, even in the busy 'Rush Hour of Life', so much more joyful and fulfilling!
By profession, I'm an author and a researcher with a Ph.D. in Development Studies. For many years, I worked on human development and global health issues in academic and international settings before using my passion for traveling and exploring cultures to write and publish my book Inspirations from Abroad for a Happier Life at Home.
In my book, I discuss some of the beautiful lessons I learned while living in countries across the world, including Germany (my home country), the U.S., Mexico, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, India, China, and Japan. Each country, its culture, and its people taught me something special about how we can approach life to live a happier everyday life. I sincerely believe that we can enrich our lives when we open our eyes to the beauty that exists around us.
Since becoming a mom, I have been on a quest to explore tools and techniques that can bring more joy, meaning, and lightheartedness to the busy everyday lives of momsโespecially in the so-called 'Rush Hour of Life,' when women juggle child-raising joys and responsibilities with career-, and personal aspirations.
Having taken courses on Positive Psychology and having delved deeply into theories and tools in this domain, I love sharing what I learn in my courses and resources with the goal of making busy mom life more joyful, magical, and memorable.
Several years ago, I found myself back in Switzerland after spending several years with my husband in Asia. It was early 2018, and I remember lying completely exhausted in my little daughter's bedroom, wondering where all my energy and drive for life had gone. We had just gone through a major international move (from Tokyo to the outskirts of Geneva) with a 1.5-year-old toddler, and reintegrating into work and home life back in Europe did not go as I had hoped.
I felt stuck at home, on the one side, happy to have time for our little one and, on the other hand, empty and without energy and, to a certain extent, frustrated that I could not use the skills I had acquired during years at university. My previous career was in academia, and I finished my PhD thesis in Development Studies in 2015. Yet, since our daughter had been born (at that point, we were living in Japan), I had not actively worked and felt that I wanted to find a job that would be interesting yet also flexible enough to be able to spend some time with our daughter. And that had turned out to be more difficult than expected...
On that grey February day in early 2018, I noticed that I needed to change something. I wanted to regain my passion for life, the energy to enjoy time with our little one, meet friends, go on date nights with my husband, and just explore what really brought me joy. That's how my journey of self-discovery and exploration started. I joined various women's groups, took a career-change course, wrote and published a book, and then dove into positive psychology, taking courses and reading tons of books.
Little by little, I carved out a way that felt right for me, letting me enjoy life at home and at work. But more than anything, I learned how to consciously include little moments of joy in my days, savoring them and filling my 'well-being bucket' throughout the days, weeks, months, and years to come. My husband was highly supportive when he noticed the positive effects that these changes had on our growing family. And I don't regret a single step of my journey over these past years.
If you would like to start your personal 'joy journey' as well, I'd be honored to welcome you to my brand-new online course: 'The Joy Journey for Busy Moms.'
It'd be lovely to meet you and explore together what could make YOU feel more joyful and fulfilled in everyday life.
With much love,
Judith
